03 = 30 seconds
45 = 54 minutes

The program started March 19, 2007 with #...1173
And today's 1709...
the 1st 2 #'s are 83 , so what do you suppose that means?

I reserved in January 08 with 1486. At that time I understood the reservation wait would be about 1 year. When the DDE was opened, my delivery date moved to January 09. Since then the DDE have moved one month back in 09 for each month forward in 2008. At this date the DDE is now April to June 09. Based on this I anticipate my reservation will be filled in Jan to Feb 09. The wait has been long, but I think it is, in fact, coming to a close. I am looking forward to it.

I bet you were so excited to get yours. Are you getting yours in Merriam, Ks ?
I'm going with Tulsa, ok. They were much nicer than Merriam was. Plus the taxes were cheaper in Tulsa.

Congrats again.
Nicer then the guys in Merriam??? Mind you, this is the first new car that I have ever bought but I could not think of anything that would make me say that they were not as nice as they could be. My car buying experience was top notch.

Also if you buy your car in Tulsa you will be paying tax twice unless you have a residence there and license the car in OK because I believe that KS will charge you property tax when you license it here.

Also if there is a difference in sales tax, when you register the car in KS you will be charged the difference.

Sorry.... but the folks were friendlier in Tulsa dealership then Merriam. Maybe our salesman was having a bad day. They weren't rude... just not as anxious to give us info and didn't seem to know much about the smart car when we went there as Tulsa did. Tulsa also has kept in touch with us by email the progress of our smart where Merriam never has contacted us once. I'm glad you had better luck then we did though. All in all we will both end up with a smartie.
Also I was told the port charges will be much more expensive in Merriam than Tulsa. Don't know why that is but I know each state was different.
Plus Tulsa is closer for us then Merriam.

Thank you. It is something I am looking forward to certainly. It will be the smallest car I have ever owned, and the one with the most personality since my '72 Bug.

I'm going with Merriam, they've been good. I will say with the traffic in the store, I think they need more than 3 people. My opinion is that they are pretty constantly overburdened.

Hmm. . .that could be a good job opportunity.
