I agree it would be nice get a group together and discuss NYC specific issues like parking and so on. I can't help but think that if we had "X" number of people and approached some parking garage companies, we might be able to get some discounted pricing on smart spots. If they think they can rent multiple smaller spaces out, they may create some. or find previously unused space that was too small to rent out and mark it. But they won't be very likely to do so if an individual goes in and wants to rent, in effect, half a space.
I have seen spots in garages marked "Vespa Only".
