Buffalo/Rochester area

Any good/bad experiences with the smartcenter in Buffalo? My car is due to be delivered next month (I checked and it was loaded on the ship this week).

Test drove a car last weekend, and I think the people around Williamsville are used to seeing them drive by. But I've only seen two or three in Rochester so far. Was planning to follow a silver/black one off Winton Road, but I thought the woman driving wouldn't appreciate being "stalked".

Was just there Saturday and was told 22 cars expected 4/22.

I'm not good at waiting, so I was trying to put it out of my mind. Once I found out mine is coming, I've been on here catching up with all the people who have their cars already!

I think we need a Western NY group of smarties!!

I was there on Saturday too! They had just unloaded a truckload of cars, and they tell me mine is due in May. I tried the cargo tracking, and it was loaded on the boat on Monday. Which means it's still a long ways away! *sob*

Found out I work with the owner of a yellow/black smart. Unfortunately, his wife drives it most of the time, but he brings it in every now and then!

Broken Kid - is that you Jeff?? If it is, then you should let the world know about your bran-spankin-new ladybird.

For the rest: My wife has a Passion bumblebee (Plate: SMARTBEE) - and she let's me drive it when she doesn't need it. We both LOVE IT !!!! :-). Got it about 7 weeks ago (1500 miles), last tank: 42.6 mpg commuting around the suburbs - Fairport, Penfield, Webster - and a couple times a week to downtown Rochester.

Yep! I've been on here since last June! In fact, I'm on the first page of the "tell us what you ordered thread". Ah...memories.

I think you meant ladybug rather than ladybird, but I'm not so sure it's a gal just yet. I'm trying to gauge if it's a guy or gal before I give it a suitable name.

I'm also considering personalized plates. Never really cared for them before, but I'm so tempted now with the smart. Possible choices include:
IMSOSMRT (Simpsons reference)
ONTHROAD (I'm a big Kerouac fan)

Any thoughts?
