Armrests for the Smart

A number of you have asked us about locating a good quality armrest for the Smart. We looked over a couple of them and ordered the best one out there. While it may not be the cheapest, it is the best out there. It is now in stock for quick delivery.

Here is the info and order link in case you are interested:

Armrest for the Smart Car

Thank you...

Thank you for elaborating.

The manufacturer does not provide the instructions for the armrest. We have requested them, but were only provided with pics of the install. Their comments were "it is very easy, couple of bolts and that's it". I guess that is not true for everyone and we now offer a customer a choice of including the install pics with the armrests or sending them by email when a customer orders the item. There are also several helpful threads on this forum that show how the armrest is to be installed which we point people to.

The missing part was a small bolt/screw that must have separated in shipment and may have been thrown away in the packing, fallen out of the box during packing/shipping or opening. We offered to promptly ship out another screw/bolt.

Our apologies for the "challenge" you had with the armrest.

Thank you...

Slime, how in the world did it take you "two hours" to install? Did you mine the ore to forge the allen wrench and combination wrench needed? Then made up the die mold and smelt the iron ore to pour them? And as per size...I'm 5' 8" and by no means a small person (let's think "obese") and had no problem. Possibly if this is the first time you ever seen tools and had to learn "Righty, tighty...Lefty, loosey" I could understand but a child could figure this out even without instructions. And as per "incomplete parts" it probably took longer to post in here then it would had to drive over to any Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware or any hardware store and pick-up the "missing" parts. I guess my real questions should be: "Do you do any wrench turning at all and why make such a big deal out on a mole hill? Your earlier posting almost made me not purchase this product...so glad I did though!

Not Smart

Nothing can help folks who don't or won't understand the idea of our Smart autos. Public discussion of personal issues and attacks has no place in this forum.

Is this a good time to apply the "meat" cleaver?

Well Put Smart Enuf

We don't want any extra "cleavers" out there around Halloween.

Peace
