It will be in today's mail, you should have it Monday. It should ne be to hard to tell the GM where you want the plate mount. Our kit complies with all front license plates laws in all states requiring front plates.

Smartazz,
I discussed this with Bill Scott at SmartcenterSF: my car was already "drilled" when I picked it up and he states he has to do it.

he lied. he DOES NOT have to do it if you sign a waiver like i and many of us have done.

Agreed... I just asked my dealer yesterday to not install the front bracket when my car comes in and didn't get any push back. Nothing about a waiver either (which is not a big deal as I'm happy to sign if need be).

The dealer in Houston said they do not drill holes in ANYBODY"S car at their dealership unless they requested it at the time when the plates came in.

Must be a California thing.

naw. it's a dealer thing. we've been hearing from the start about the SF dealer not being all that customer friendly by returning messages or even answering the phone. doesn't really surprise me. i would be pissed if i actually tried to contact them and they ignored me and then found out they already drilled.

So San Francisco and San Diego dealers both want waivers?

I have delayed asking this question...mostly not wanting to appear ignorant...

These drilled holes...do they just penetrate the plastic fascia or do they drill into a metal bumper structure as well...?

I am not overly concerned with the holes through the paint and plastic but by drilling the powder coated metal bumper behind- there now is an area that can corrode/ rust... and if this is true I will also be doing some variation of a front plate in the tow hook bolt access

But if just through the plastic, then expanding screw holders for the plate, I am not overly concerned with the dealer installed option...

Anyone with dealer installed on bumper care to take a look and see what the reality is?

i believe it to be plastic only although there is some sort of mass right behind the plastic. there are dimples in the bumper where to drill.
