Tell y'all what...
I didn't witness the dyno runs, but I *did* stop by the BPP shop yesterday to order a set of bumpers for my Cabrio, and I *did* get to see and hear the turbo package up-close-n-personal, with Ernie giving me a guided tour.
This is one *TIDY* package, very well thought out and extremely well executed. The craftsmanship (and that really is the appropriate word for the level of effort and materials that I saw) is top-flight, even taking into consideration that I was looking at a prototype system that most likely would never be seen by anyone outside the BPP operation. Ernie and his crew have paid attention to every tiny little detail you can imagine, and I'm very impressed. It looks like even a ham-fisted oaf like me could do the install in the driveway in about a day, maybe two if you took your sweet time and triple-checked every move you made...
I had my camera in my rental car (I'm on vacation for a week), but I didn't dare ask Ernie if I could shoot photos of the testbed ForTurbo; that would be rude. But boy, if y'all could only see what I've seen... Wow.
I hadn't considered turbocharging my Cabrio until yesterday, and I know I've commented a few days ago in a related thread that an industry that was big enough for one vendor was big enough for two. I still stand by that statement, but I will admit I'm seriously considering being one of Ernie's flagship turbo-kit clients.
