New Custom Wheels for the smart car now in stock!

For those of you that were interested in a custom rim that will work with your stock tires Ace DeCorsa introduced a custom 15" wheel at the SEMA show.

You may have seen us mention this wheel in an earlier thread on one of our smart madness cars that was on display at SEMA. The wheel received an award at the SEMA show this year for the best new wheel.

We have been working with DeCorsa to launch this wheel and we are happy to announce that these wheels are now in stock for quick delivery. There are 3 options for the wheels at this time. Option one is Silver with a machined face. Option two is Black with a machined face and Option three is Black with a machined face and a Red stripe on the lip of the wheel.

The wheels come in 15x5 for the front and 15x6 for the rear. They have a nice polished lip and a clean, custom design. If you are interested in a well made wheel that can be used with your stock tires, this is it!

The launch of the DeCorsa and Genius wheels went very well and we have now received much LARGER shipments from the manufacturers. Those of you that have been by our shop in the last day or two have seen pallets and pallets of wheels coming in.

Due to this our pricing has gone down and that means our selling price has been reduced as well. We need to make room for upcoming lines and shipments so if you had your heart set on a set of wheels and have not made the plunge yet, this may help!

One key question: Will the 15" rims (Genius or De Corsa) work with the stock tires? And if so, do you also sell compatible TPS guages?

Thank you for your interest. The De Corsa rims are designed to work with your stock tires. Once they wear out you would have an option of going to a set of tires one size wider (they would fit as well). The stock sensors work with the new set. We can reuse the ones from your original set of wheels. Right now the only place you/we can get sensors are from the dealers. They are charging about $500. We are in the process of getting stock smart sensors from Germany and are targeting a price of $300. We hope to have them in stock within 10-14 days. Our initial order is already 50% spoken for by folks that ordered rims. Update...

We now have the smart OEM sensors in stock at $250 for the set of four. We just received some DeCorsa wheels in White with a Machine Face. Those look great on a White smart.

We are down to our last two pairs of Silver. Once they are gone it will be a while (months) before more come in.
