New and improved Silicone Air Intake Hose

Some folks have suggested that the Silicone Hose we offered may function a bit better if the angles were a bit smother. We worked with our manufacturer and were able to get this done for our newest batch.

Now the hoses we offer have a more gradual curve and also come in two color options. The original Red and the new Black (for those that want a stealth look).

Here are the direct product links:

smart car Air Intake Upgrade - Red Silicone Intake Hose V2

Please note! The pictures of the hose in the engine bay are of the old version.

Both (Red and Black) new hoses are now in stock!

Why is it the early burd gets the screw. At least here.

The part that gets me is that this item is clearly superior to the stainless steel variety, yet they continue to push that one. Can't have it both ways.

I am sorry you feel that way.

I think we can all agree that most products get revised and upgraded regularly. The same is true here.

I personally do not think that there is any significant difference between the original version of the hose we introduced and the others that followed later since are are dealing with a 70hp car and not a race car with a 1000hp motor.

However, since we had to make a new batch we asked the manufacturer for a revision due to some customer suggestions. In addition, since the quantities were now higher we decided to add a new color (Black) because many asked.

Our goal is to simply cater to our customers needs and whenever possible incorporate their suggestions in to the designs when a new batch is being produced.

I think you may be confusing us with another vendor.

Another Vendor who also promotes his products on this forum offers a Stainless Steel Pipe. He released a similar solution to this in Stainless Steel after seeing our product.

We have never carried the Stainless Steel product since as you state we feel this is a superior product and it is more affordable.

SmartDigger, ALL early *burds* get the screw: someone has to pay for R&D and capital overhead.
Remember when the first VCRs came out, at around $500/each? Three years later, better technology and they could hardly be given away.
Same thing with LCD/LED TV's, the computers with ever-increasing CPU speeds, etc.
Hmm, only things that seems to have an even price keel are: cars, and my salary.

Don't get me wrong. I was being sarcastic. I am very happy with version one. It is a great product and one I would recommend. Even more now that it is improved.

Quick question, Boris. It's obviously impossible not to draw a comparison between this and the Forge piece, so I was wondering about the one key difference I've noted - the breather fitting. The Forge unit has a metal barbed fitting, which makes sense to me, but I can't figure out how your hose's fitting attaches to the breather. Can you elaborate a bit on this? Otherwise, I commend you on the updated design.
