Smart PowerFlow High Performance Air Filter Sale

Smart PowerFlow High Performance Air Filter
PowerFlow Air Filter Part # 600-202 $49.99
Month of July Special $ 39.99 and Free Domestic Shipping

"After all the testing we have found that the factory box is a sealed ram air box, which obtains air flow from only the outside (not hot air from the engine bay). Use of a high flow filter proved to out-perform the so-called cold air induction systems. The intake temp on the stock system, with a good high flow filter, was about 10 to 20 degrees cooler then the others thus giving a higher timing curve and optimum fuel mixture and increased Horsepower. This turned out to be an easy and cheap HP increase. Coupled with our .50 cent mod of the silencer part of the airbox removal again increased the HP and reduced 0-60 and 0-80 by over 1 second.

First off I would like to say that Breathless Performance provided great customer service. I called them up today at 4pm to see if they had the filter in stock. I am local to them and they informed me that they were closed but if I wanted to swing by they would wait for me. Arrived there and they had the filter ready for me and also showed me some of their other products for the Smart.

Now to the filter. The install was pretty painless. It took me about 15 minutes. The toughest part for me was putting back the hose. The filter seems of high quality and I did notice the car is accelerating a little quicker. This can also be due to my other filter being so dirty.

All in all I highly reccomend their filter and their customer service makes them a pleasure to deal with.

I have also done my own very unscientific testing of air filters and housings in my 5 years of smart roadster ownership and agree with Breathless, there is no need to change the whole induction system, just the air filter, and for your bucks it is the best mod you can do on your smart, and one of the cheapest as well.
If you don't do anything else to your car, bin the original filter and get a sports filter, you get an increase in performance, a great sucky noise on acceleration, and quicker and smoother gear changes.
Do it, do it, do it, (sorry just watched Starsky and Hutch with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson)

Thank you. You can spend more for a so called cold air kit and it will do nothing for you. The smart system is already setup from the factory as a cold air system.
