Beware of nasty potholes on Crosstown!!!

I was there this afternoon driving east on 62. Some of those potholes are just nasty. If you get off the France, Penn, Xerxes exits, it's even worse. It's not the crater-type of potholes. It's the 'sink hole' type where the slab just falls straight down for 3-4 inches. I went over one and it felt like the car was going to fall apart. It did not feel or sounded healthy at all for this car.

Needless to say, I tried to swerve and avoid all potholes as much as possible. Going over them at 40-50mph is a bad as it gets as you feel every inch of that drop.

Does anyone else know where there are bad stretches of roads that have bad potholes? I know it's unavoidable but some areas are worse than others. Driving up 35w from Lakeville, it's pretty bumpy. Erosions are just as bad. You'd feel them every 50 feet. 494 is not too bad. It's all concrete so it's pretty smooth.

I read this a couple weeks ago before I got my Smart and thought,"Potholes in Minnesota in the winter, what a surprise!" But now that I have my new car, and I have hit a couple medium sized holes, I understand your concern. It is not the potholes, it is the car. My old car just cruised right across them with just a little thud, but the Smart feels like I am denting the wheel rims. I have learned to be very observant and drive very carefully anywhere, including Hwy 62.
