I was wondering if anyone had an idea how many cars had been delivered out of Bloomington. Also, is there any order to the confirmation numbers going out?
This post was on the midwest section, posted 1/11/08. I'm number 1413 and haven't heard anything. I've read in one of the post Smart confirmation numbers are in the 1329 range.

I stopped in at the Bloomington Smart car dealer today. The office is pretty much ready to go. I talked with one of the managers for a bit.
I was told that they will be having a soft grand opening on Sat. A press release will be in the paper.
So far they only have the list of folks getting cars in Jan. They shouldve been contacted already or very soon. I was also told that the reservation number doesnt mean anything. They are expecting about 30 cars give or take every month. The first cars should be showing up next week sometime. They were expecting to have the entire list of reservation holders soon. I was told to stop back next week and they should be able to tell me when my car would be here. They will have a car for the showroom as well as a couple of demo cars for folks to test drive.
Sounded like there was in the neighborhood of 700+ reservation holders for the MN office. But only 400+ cars expected in 2008
I'm 1274 and haven't configured yet. I've stopped by a couple of times for test drives. I saw 15 or so that were all spoken for. I haven't heard seen any posts on this board regarding any of them.
The most popular colors here seem to be yellow & red.

When I was there, though, the sales guy said he'd be surprised if I didn't hear something very soon... But sales people always want to keep you excited, and hate to share any sort of bad news anyway... Who knows what to expect.
I was informed by smart end Jan that my smart is there and I can take delivery any time. Finally, managed to take time off from work and drove to the Bloomington yesterday and got my metallic blue with silver tridion cell smart home.

Not sure what the confirmation # is ... did find an email from smart giving me a link to print the configuration details of my selection with a string of numbers - D0495870-ABE9-4600-817D-4F90A296EC4D. Email date & time was 9/14/2007 9.43PM.

There were about 10 smart at the Bloomington dealer when I was there and they are hoping to get about 30 each month.
