Hot Rod Barbeque, Year 6 - Minnesmarta's 4th Rally

I know, I know, we haven't even run our third rally yet and I'm already planning the fourth, but I just get so stoked about our barbeque that I couldn't wait any longer.

Here's the thing, my wife and I, for the past 5 years, have hosted what we call Hot Rod Barbeque. We invite all of our family, friends, co-workers, and passers-by, whether they have an old or unique car or not, to our house for free food and a relaxing afternoon amongst 30 plus cars. For our 6th year I would just love to have all of the Smart owners over to the house to join in on the fun. Here are some of the details:

When: Saturday, September 6 (weekend after Labor Day weekend)
Time: 3:00 to ?
Where: 10550 Beard Ave S, Bllomington, MN, 55431
What we provide: Smoked pork and chicken, dessert, drinks (beer, sodas, water)
What to bring: A side dish to share, your Smart car or any other unique car you may have, and a lawn chair

We have had a large variety of cars come to the BBQ, from a 1928 Ford to a 1957 firetruck to a Lamborghini Diablo and Ferrari Testarossa. Even if you don't have a car to bring you're invited because we just enjoy having people over for a good time.

Anyway not sure if I will be able to make it or not as I will be down in Iowa for school and that weekend may or may not work out.

I will most likely be there! I will have my license and can borrow my dad's Smart for the day and drive down there.. mine wont be delivered yet..

GREAT NEWS!! I just found out my dad will be working at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul on the 6th so i will ask him (very nicely) if he can take my truck to work so i can take his Smart to this now 3rd, not 4th, RALLY!!

It stinks he has to work otherwise we would both drive down there but i will be there!

I really wanted to attend yesterday's rally and failed to let people know that. I'd like to atttend the next rally. It sounds great, but I'll be out of town.

To the various rally organizers, don't give up. Keep planning and we'll get our collective act together. Thanks.

WinStuart- there wasn't a rally yesterday so dont feel bad!!
It got canceled due to the small amount of people attending.
And i agree with you, keep planning these rally's guys and eventually we will hopefully all be able to get together

Also, once again i thought i could go to the 4th Rally, but i just got a job at Fleet Farm as a cashier, which i love, but i work that day and cant take it off!!
Have fun, i will totally try and make the next rally!!!!
