Naming o' the Minnesota Chapter

Time to pick a name for our chapter. We may end up being known to the SCOA as the "Minnesota" chapter, but we definitely need a unique identifier name as well! Sorry to those thinking it may be best to include MI, WI , IA and the Dakotas, but I'll leave it to those specific areas to segment out their own chapters in the future as desired. It's just not likely that someone living in Bismark or Ironwood or Pella would participate in Twin Cities area happenings (at least not with any regularity - but you're all welcome to join in ANY time you want!).

I had to try my best and pick 5 possibles for the poll (you're limited to 5 choices). I used the previous posts from the Minnesota Check-in thread along with a few PMs to choose the 'most frequently' mentioned - or the most "like-able" IMHO.

I'll keep the poll open until Sunday, May 18th to give any of the infrequent visitors time to add their input.

you guys have your own "Chapter" now? why can't we in Indiana have OUR own "Chapter"?

we've (ok, may just myself....) have been wanting our own "Chapter" in the "Mid-West Region" section of this forum for some time and can't seem to get the MODERATOR to cooperate.

since Michigan has THEIR own "Chapter", i believe we should at the very least, have a Tri-State Chapter consisting of Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

I just submitted my vote. Woohoo! So far Minne-Smart-A is in the lead! Just to let you all know, when I suggested Minne-Smart-A as a chapter name I now way intended the last "A" to be read as we are a bunch of Smart A$$'s. I'm suggesting that we are a bunch of Minne-Smart-Ans (or Minnesmartans).

Since we had a tie in the 'general election,' I was debating whether or not to do a repost or new poll...BUT jefferios gave us a tie-breaking post solution (see above).

So, we will be known as the
Min-ne-smart-a Chapter
(I put in the hypens to ensure everyone reads 4 syllables but it will probably be just fine to write it as Minnesmarta).

Looking forward to the first Minnesmarta Chapter meet-and-greet! :woohoo
