National Rally in KC

I know it is early to bring this up but to make sure I get the vacation time, I need to turn it in as soon as possible after the first of the year.

I'm thinking of driving down on Thursday and back on Sunday afternoon/evening. The drive to Wisconsin Dells was fun last June. maybe we can do it again only to KC this time??

I have a feeling Des Moines is going to be the meet-up spot. Not sure exactly yet. Convoy plans will be determined in the coming months.

SmartJoe, I'm in Des Moines and planing on going down to K.C. on Thursday, leaving around noon. If a group coming from the cities want to meet up with some of the Iowa smarts, let us know. There is an excellent place at exit 136,
14th street/Hy 69, off I-80, I-35. There is a large parking lot on the northeast side of the exit. Bonanza and across the street is a country kitchen. I'd like to get to K.C. before rush hour because we have to go through down town to get to the hotel. Do early lunch and hit the road, south bound and down.

Sounds like an idea to me!! about 250 some miles or so, probably a good spot for a break.
