Twin Cities car washes

Has anyone around the Twin Cities area taken their smart Cabriolet to a car wash in the area and have had success or bad experience?
I'm talking about auto washes (like at Holiday, BP etc)

Mine's not a cabriolet, but I've had success at the Downtowner carwash in St. Paul. I stopped at the Mermaid in Bloomington and they said it was too low. Too low?

Anyway, I'll not be taking any of my cars to Mermaid again. I've been taking my smart to the local manual wash. It takes about $4.25 to clean her top to bottom.

mostly been hitting the manual wash bays. it doesn't take that long to do it by hand and you can do a better job than those machines anyways.

Well I've only washed it once so far and I did it at a do it your selfer here in Vadnais Heights, but didn't have anything to scrub the car down with (my fault). I just went ahead and bought my self a new bucket and wash mit for the do it yourselfer... That way I have better control over the wash and where the water is going.

Well I took it to a Holiday Car Wash last night and... Got a little wet inside, leaked around the back window on my Cabriolet when the arm came around to the backside of the car. Other than that, car looked great!

I stopped going to Mermaid years ago, their service isn't worth the extra $$ and they give attitude for even a basic request...If this is the same mermaid we are talking about...

No leaks and a great finish. It's really close to the Bloomington Smart dealer.
