Jefferios, where are you buying your tires, and what's the cost?

From Discount Tire Co. The cost w/ install on the 175's was $487.

Since I am getting the 145's in front it should be around $450.

Where did you get the Blizzaks? Tire Rack? I take it that you're going to save your old Contis for the spring when you swap them out again.

So you guys are getting the Blizzaks. Let me make sure you got the size right. You're putting 145/65/15 in front and 175/55r15 in the back correct?

If so here are the changes in the overall diameter of the tires. Let me know if this will work. Some have indicated some issues.

Overall diameter for stock front is 22.3"................going to 22.6" (thinner but taller tire)
Overall diameter for stock rear is 22.6".............going to 2.5"

I know from the smart center than changing the stocks to the 175/55-15 Bizzak's will not be a problem with the stock Conti's in front.

The 145's in front according to the parts manager Dave, Jason, and Joe (Discount Tire) say it will not be a problem.

Also I am keeping my Conti's they only have 6K miles on them! I will swap them in the Spring to put them back on...it looks like the going rate per tire is $25-30 w/o TPMS. (TPMS adds $7 per tire)

(BTW Blackbeagle, clear out your old PM messages, I cannot PM you!)

I guess I'm going to let you guys let me know how the Blizzaks will perform for this car. Being that I work from home, the car is used 1-2 a week for errands. We have the Murano if we have to go anywhere when it's snowing.

So for need, it's not a necessity right away but I do plan to get a set.

I'll for sure put my comments here on SCOA and on the Minnesmarta board. I'll immediately talk about my thoughts at the Rally on the 28th as well.

Why would the diameter change - the Blizzaks and the stock rears are both 175/55 R 15. Thanks!

....because not all tire manufacturers mold their tires the same way. You can have 4 sets of tires the same size, and every one may have a different overall diameter. You can go on Tire Rack and pull up 4 different brand tires in a 175/55r15. Then look at the specs. You may find that they may or may not have the same overall diameter. It's one of the quirks of the tire industry.
