I want to thank everyone who has RSVP'd for this event. As of this afternoon, we have 15 smarts and 29 people attending. I am making final plans with the restaurant by Friday, so you still have some time to get in on the fun. Even if your not sure you can make it until mext week, join us anyway! The more the merrier! I'll try and post basic driving directions before the weekend is out. If I post from Fort Wayne, will that be good for everyone? I know we have a couple coming from near South Bend direction, I can post from that direction as well. I'll make sure and post the address for those who just want to input to yahoo or google maps as well. See you soon!
We talked about coming, but with my wifes business, it's kind of hard to plan ahead. Kind of have to wait to the last minute. We'll see what's happening next Friday and go from there.
My wife is in love with the Smart and I just want to say hi. I found this thread and we are members of the Chevy Avalanche Club that will also be in Auburn the 11th! We are visiting the Auburn Cord Dusenburg Museum there and then eating a late lunch at Ryans. Maybe we will see some of you guys so if you see a few Avalanche wave at 'ya it's us!
now back to your discussion, I didn't mean to hijack......
Good news! I just received an e-mail from the Auburn newspaper, they are going to cover the event! Hopefully we will get the local TV station to come up as well.
I wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone who attended yesterday. I hope everyone had fun getting to know each other, and enjoyed the museum. Of course, as uaual, your truely forgot his camera, but our President brought hers, hopefully she will post pic's soon.
The Auburn paper was the only media to show up, he interviewed several of us, and one of the local couples even let him drive their smart to see what it's all about! Thanks again to everyone for making this a great event!
I checked the Dekalb Star online and don't see a story, yet. Please provide a link or scan the story in for those of us who couldn't make it. We want to celebrate vicariously!

My understanding was it's supposed to print "early next week". I'll have to keep watching the paper.
