Today is the first day I have had to drive "7 of 9" to work. I had reported that my drive home from SCI was night and high winds, so I was excited to see how she does without the wind factor. She was covered with frost, so I started her, turned on front and rear defrosters, and my seat heat, then went to the truck to get the de-icer spray for the windshield. By that time the rear window was defrosted, she was warmed up and I was ready to go. About a mile out to the main highway, then down to State Rd 446. For those that are not familiar with it, rural highway with hills and curves. The first stretch was straight, and I ran through the gears and then realized that I was doing 65, speed limit is 55. I backed off a little, but she just didn't want to go less than 60. Down through the bottoms, then my first hill. I had backed off a little (actually down to 55), I came out at the top of the hill still running low 60's, without downshifting. When I approached dead mans curve (25 MPH) I was still running over 60, I backed off and slowed to 45, but I was running 55 when I came out the other side.

A little lean, but nothing bad. The rest of the curves are marked 30 to 35, I was running 45 to 55 through all of them. Down across the causeway, by that time I had put it over into auto mode, as I came up the hill on the other side it downshifted, and I came out the top accelerating. Part of this road is where all the young guys come with their "crotch rockets" to show their riding abilities. On into town, back into manual mode, It was a blast!!! At no time did it seem like a small car. It is not just a city car, it can hold it's own on rural and highway as well.
