Help...

What I need your help with is thoughts, prayers, a moment of your time, whatever you can offer. I am at a complete loss on how to handle what's going on with my dad right now and I don't know if I'm strong enough.

Here's what's going on:

In the last week, he's been in the ER 3 times. The first, the doctor took xrays, said he was severely constipated (which he was), sent him home with some meds, and all was ok for about a day. I took him back for severe upper abdominal pain, this time to the VA hospital, and they said it was just his MS. Last night he went again, this time they did an ultrasound of his gall bladder and found a few stones, but not enough to warrant the pain he's in. Then they did a CT scan and found IT...what he's been diagnosed with as of now is Pancreatic Cancer, he'll see the oncologist tomorrow and we'll know more.

I have a good friend who has been tired lately. His wife made him go to the doctor and he ended up with the same results. He still doesn't feel sick, just worn out all the time.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Lost my Mom to the big C. My prayers are with you.

My dad had pancreatic cancer. All you can do is help him all you can and spend as much quality time with him as you can spare. They can give him some pain medication to ease the pain and make him feel better. If you would like to talk further pm me.

Yes, it was a rough go, but family and friends were there the entire time.

:::UPDATE:::

Dad had another CT scan this morning and it showed the mass better. The doctor seems very optimistic and Dad is in good spirits He had 15 doctors from Parkview evaluating the results of the CT. He's going to be sent to IU in Indy for a few days so they can take a biopsy and figure out their next move. If the mass has no blood veins or vessels, they'll be able to remove it and he should be fine. If it does have them, he'll have to go through chemo and radiation to try and shrink it. I simply pray for God to heal my Daddy.
