I think it means Smarts In Nebraska.

This thread has some great info for ANY club, not just Indiana. Great thread!

OK, getting this thread back on track....
How has this site and the club helped me? Wow, where to begin.

Top of the list has to be the friendships I have developed. I have met so many great people in the last two years. I have enjoyed meeting each and every one of you.

The modificatons. Not only have I employed several of the posted mods on my car, but it has inspired me to create new ones as well.
It has also allowed me to share some of my mods and repairs, hopefully helping a few others out along the way.

My smartie hasn't let me down yet, so can't comment on transportation....

I have definitely "come out of my shell" being in the club, and just owning the car. I tell people all the time, you can't be an introvert and own this car!

As far as bad habits.... it hasn't helped me break any, but if you talk to my wife, she claims it's started a big one! She says I'm addicted to smarts!! (I would have to agree)

I hope this helps.

BTW, MJB SIN stands for Smarties of INdiana

Thanks, you guys are doing great! Keep them coming. Just to add or maybe inspire you guys as to what I am looking for... I am looking to see how SCOA, SIN, or any other Smart Car Club has benefitted you. I am looking for testimonials of how even internet forums and car clubs, as communities, help its members, charities, local businesses, and the general public. Such help includes health, healthy relationships, better outlook on life, breaking old habits and getting new ones, having someone to be there if you need advice or assistance, increased business, better turnout for charity events, bringing small museums etc. to light through media attention from us parading through the area on our way to the museum, maybe we just bring the Smart Car to the public causing them to realized they don't need that Hummer, or maybe they see how happy we are in our Smart that they decide they want one or a smaller fun car than what they currently drive. Anything we do, cause, or bring out of people can be beneficial to someone, some group, or some business.

ok, back on track.
These days people say that the internet isolates you as you are forever in front of the screen instead of going out to meet people, but for me it's the opposite, since joining smart forums in britain I have met more people than I have for years by reading about meets and going along to them.
There is a great sense of belonging and you have a common interest straight away so it is easy to talk to people, I was always very shy, but this has helped me to break out of my shell.
I now organise my own meets in Sheffield and have called the group Sheffield Smarties, and have a good base of a few people who come along and new members come along to every meet and always seen really nervous to start but after a while are asking what we are doing at the next meet, it's really nice to see strangers chatting straight away.
Hope this is what you are looking for.

I have been trying to find the picture of jetfuel at the dells in his krusty the clown shirt and clown nose. I think it was taken while we all waited for the ferry. I saw it posted with a caption of something like "This is what happens to you when you own a Smart".

...SCOA has helped everybody that has come up with a question...from the simple things as "where's my spare" to long in depth discussion of turbos, electronics and "roof crazing"..LOL...
The modification section in here is extensive and well documented for anybody that wants to tackle a light mod to interior painting...
...so...for a car social network you can't beat this place...

jetfuel...no home work today...got expelled...
I have to say this man is wise beyond his years ( and that's a lot of years)
