So what did it take...2 maybe 3 inches to get into Central Indiana's Top 10.

We ended up with about 11 1/2" out here in the sticks. I Was supposed to be off yesterday, but I knew the rest of the help wouldn't show up, so I got out the RX300 and took the wife to work. Usually takes about 45 minutes, made it in 1 1/2 hours. Took about 2 hours today with tractor (with bucket) to clean off driveway. Wife moved the mini to the back drive last night, and I put it in the garage to defrost . Don't know when it'll get warm enough to defrost the smart.

I'm really very impressed, that's quite a snowfall. Even lake effect snow doesn't normally get that deep.

I was in Indy for a conference. I woke up to that 10 inches of snow and thought I wasn't going to make it home yesterday. I went ahead and took her out of the parking garage thinking I might come back after one mile, but decided to keep going. The intersections were terrible! I ended up plowing the snow with Charlie Brown's front end.
I filled up the tank for extra weight (sidenote: I drove to Indy from North Liberty for $6.06 and got the IRS rate of .55 a mile for the 127 miles!) and headed back home. Took me a lot of extra time. But I made it. I'm glad I invested in the Blizzak tires.

The final tally was either 12.5 or 12.6", tied for 6th place on record snow falls in Indiana. I think 1910 was first with 16.5" and second was the 'Blizzard of '78" with 15.4" (like I said, 'I think' ).

Just seemed like in 'way back in '78' it was a lot more. Must have been the high winds causing a lot of drifting. There were Army Half-Tracks driving up and down Delaware and Meridian Streets with snow plows on them!

I just stayed inside and watched from my 5th floor apartment window........

Well it's thawing some, hadn't had 7 of 9 out since Monday. It was warm enough last night (in the 40's) to get the snow and Ice off of her. Didn't shovel anything, started her up this morning, backed up about 6 inches and started to spin. Back and forth about 4 times, and she came right out, over the snow and into the driveway. Felt really good to be back on the road again.
