today, i got "THE" email of all emails......."It's time to configure your smart fortwo"!!!

OMG!!!! i can't believe it came THIS soon. i really was expecting to see it NEXT month at the earliest!

what colors do i choose, what colors do i choose.......

Congratulations!!!! I know you were looking forward to this getting your message when we talked a few weeks ago.

We also configured our second smart car on Sunday, a red / black cabriolet with every available accessory that will be for my wife. I’ve started calling it her “Little Red smart”.

Good luck finalizing your choices… with the new colors, it was a tough decision for my wife.

THANKS! we too may be a two smart family in the future.

we were just talking about the smart "EV" or "ED" (don't like THAT one!) and if or should we go ahead and reserve now to be able to configure one when they're available. no decision on that yet, so we're in a 'holding pattern' for now. but on to bigger and better things......

after much thought, and discussion with the wife, i (we) decided on White/Black Passion with the Comfort Package, Fog Lights, Additional Instrument Package, Premium Stereo and Alarm System.


now more waiting......but i'm 'ok' with THAT!!! at least i know now WHAT I'M GETTING!!!

i DO? you apparently didn't see the 'fine print'. couldn't find THIS part to 'copy and paste' BUT the real kicker was the line that read something like 'pricing could be determined by the dealer'!!!!

i just wonder IF that wording was changed so that the smart centers could jack up the price? i'll go back and see if i can post the exact wording. the 2-3% increase i can live with, but a $2K markup? not so good.......i'll email SCI and see if they have any plans to 'bump' the MSRP on 2009's.

i hope not.......

No, I SAW the fine print I just meant we know "about" how much we'll be paying. I expect to probably pay somewhere around $700 more. I guess we'll see soon

BUT the real kicker was the line that read something like 'pricing could be determined by the dealer'!!!!

I believe that refers to the point where the dealer calls you and asks you to finalize a purchase order; they may require an additional deposit above the $99 already paid.

That's NOT what MY "My Smart ForTwo" config says; mine says :"[*]For current model year only. Prices are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice. Excludes tax, title, registration, options and OTHER dealer FEES!" Just a "little" bit different
