Indiana "Smarties" Sightings.....

Ok, I see there is a site for new owners of Smart Fortwo's. Well I got mine at the end of last month. I live north of Fort Wayne and been all over Allen, Whitley, and Noble Co.'s. Mine is Red with Silver, I've already added some removable decals to the door panels and to the front hood. When I get some time this weekend I post some pic's. Will be installing the pod Tach and clock this weekend. (Forgot to click that option when ordering.)

I've seen about six different Fortwo's in and around fort wayne I think we should get a poker run together before the snow flies. Who's up for it?

Redwarf, I am planning to host a smart car poker run November the 9th as a fundraiser for the Clinton County Boys and Girls Club in Frankfort. We are still in the planning stages but look for a posting here soon as well as an e-mail announcement from the smart center Indianapolis.

It is going to start around 11am and have a Chili lunch then we will all leave the club around 1pm.

today the wife got to see her first smart 'in the wild'. she was in Carmel and saw a white/black Passion. didn't say where, but she did seem to be genuinely excited to see it because she called me at work (she NEVER calls me at work) to tell me about it! don't worry "Chief".....i'm not trying to add that to my total. oh wait, i don't HAVE a 'total' since i changed names to protect the innocent.

Welcome Redwarf! I've had several people I work with tell me about a Red/Silver smart around Fort Wayne, must be you. I actually live just west of Fort Wayne, I drive my smart everywhere. Maybe someday we'll see each other! Just celebrated 4 months with my smart, 10K miles and going strong!

Wife and I were driving bumble flea on highway 26 heading east between middlefork and russiaville and there it was a blue and silver smart car heading west. For us and them, it was an odd moment. It was clearly the first time that either of us had seen another smart cruising down the road while we were cruising down the road.

Both of us just kind of slowed down and waived at each other like a bunch of giddy high school girls, completly forgeting about the official smart wave

i know there's a thread somewhere on this, but just what IS the "official smart wave'??? you know, just in case i pass another smart when i finally get MY smart!

Yup! Though the most recognized wave between smarties is the frantic/excited wave that makes all other drivers think you're nuts!
