Your car's twin is on the lot at Royal on the eastside. Blue with silver 21,988. You didn't trade did you? My wife also saw a silver/black passion coup at Bloomingfoods. Seems like they are popping up all over Bloomington now. My Stepdaughter even seen a yellow/black passion Friday, I knew there was a cabrio, but now a coup.

nope, no trade here...just out of town for the summer. i'm glad to hear i won't be the only one in town anymore. it'll be nice to have some other people fielding questions for a change! that sure is a hefty price on that one at Royal...even if it's a cabrio, that's a pretty big premium! thanks for the update wildman!

I've had TWO freaky sightings and one of them may actually boost jeepster's total.
I'm a silver/black Passion.
1) I pull into JC Penny at 86/Mich and there is a photo negative version of my car - black and silver Passion. It was tricked out as an Oakland Raiders fan car. So of course I parked right behind it & walked across the parking lot to Radio Shack. When I got back it was gone.
2) I was driving home from Lowes a couple of evenings ago and 2 blocks from my house I saw my car in front of me!!! And then it turned like it was going to my house! Whoaaa. There was a car between us so I followed it and it kept on down Cooper Rd past 56th wherer the other car turned off so I could get right behind him. He pulled off on 1st ot 2nd side street past 56th and we chatted for a while. Exact same car except he had black interior and tach gauge and I have red with no tach. He lives close by, was an early delivery, and commutes every day to Frankfort - said he goes directly to I65 and heads north every morning around 6am. He has adjusted to the paddle shifters & loves them, and flirts with 50 mpg all the time.
So Jeepster may have seen this Smart too. From the rear - I have the eco license plat and he has the standard dark blue one.

Ya - I haven't been on forum for a while because my friggin roof blew off and I'm still a bit grumpy about it but getting over it. Not the car's fault, not really the dealer's fault, but still- damnit!

i'll keep an eye open for YOU and your "twin". 'if' i have seen the other silver/black one, it would have been the FIRST one i spotted, on Kessler at 56th St about 5:45-6:00pm on a weekday. it was traveling west on 56th from Kessler. not really going in "PJ's" direction. maybe i CAN claim another sighting.....but i won't until i can confirm it.

I stopped at Royal on the eastside this morning and looked at their smart. $21988 Passion, does not have leather, had all weather floor mats in back and a car cover. Way too much for a used coupe. But some returning sorority girl will see it and say daddy I want it, so it will sell.

Yea, that's my daily commuter Sold my Goldwing ($ towards my smart!)

Too bad about "pj". His roof blew off ! Maybe we DO need to rethink this passion thing ! I've heard, from the forum, that there were "loose" roofs, but this is the first I've heard of it blowing OFF! I'm sure it will all get worked out, BUT wow! Should be solved on "our" 09's and definitely on my 2011 !
