Just got back from the "party". It was a nice time. Met lots of very nice folks and got to check out lots of great (and some not so nice) color combinations. The smart team in Indy are all very nice and gracious, and the event went off quite well, overall.
Having said that, I have to admit that the affair didn't live up to the invitation that I received. Hot dogs are not a barbecue (but there was plenty of food). There was no escort on the drive to downtown and out to Ricks (was told the escort cost too much). And there were no parting gifts (although many, perhaps even most, folks won swag or Sex In The City movie tickets

). All in all, this affair went off WAY on the cheap side. Not that I'm surprised. I can't see how a dealership can even stay in business just selling 300 cars a year that only cost 15K. However, that's no excuse to dangle a carrot and end up feeding a beet. And certainly not a good way to build a "family" or impress any owners.
I'm easily disillusioned by promises not kept, or in this case more like false advertising. But it's a minor beef. I'm sure they'll get their act together next time. And it was still a nice evening out and about.;)
