I've had a couple of negative "gestures" towards my smart, generally I smile and wave at them. Then watch them disappear shaking their head. Can't say I've had any vandalism though.

Same here (aside from the door-scratch from some idiot at a grocery store). The funniest was while cruising downtown Bloomington one early summer eveing, a honkin-big-full-o-rednecks-pickup truck said some comments (rude) about us while in traffic. Since we have a cabrio & the top was down, both hubby & I lifted our right arms and gave them our "driving finger" - synchronized, without looking at each other or even thinking about it!

It got a burst of laughter from them and they honked and waved as we turned off the street & they went straight

Smartfor2guy - Your right! Florida is shaped just like an armpit!! Nice observance!!!! (I missed your smiley face on that, but I'll get over it - tough skin, not a girly man like some of those people out there) Of course if you think about it.....all of South America would of floated away by now if it wasn't that Texas sucked so much to hold it all together. JUST KIDDING!!!!!!! Personally, all of my in-laws live in TX, wife is from there too and I've spent 5 years of my life there too....all at one time. Guess, I forgot to add smiley faces to the comment once again and it came across wrong on the original post.

Maybe the threads should be locked from others who aren't in a particular region..you know to keep the out of region rif-raf out.



I thought about this thread a bit on my ride home today (1:30mins) after a BMW zoomed past me weaving in and out of traffic. It was then I discovered how someone can actually have prejudice against a particular type of car. Mine happens to be BMW's - reasoning behind it is 99% of them drive downright stupid. I apologize to the other 1% for grouping them in.

If it doesn't fit a person's beliefs, they are threatened by it. The Smart must be that to a lot of people in Fort Wayne. (ex-brother in law is from there and I can imagine him as a Smart hater, complete with testicles hanging from his trailer receiver on his truck)

Some people are just haters, twice in Indianapolis, on west 38th I have been yelled at honked at and cussed at, I just ignore them, and I've had a couple of incidents with semi's down here around Bedford, one came up behind me (I was doing 60 in a 55) and rode up so close that I could count the bugs in the bugs on his bumper, he then passed me on the double yellow going into a 45 mph construction zone (workers on the road), And another semi on 37. I passed one, so he cut around me and cut back in, causing me to have to brake to avoid running under his trailer. I just try and keep my distance from the nuts, and smile at the ones that smile, point wave, thumbs up, etc.
