I actually reserved 2/25/2008 and configured 9/8/2008. I have only paid the initial $99 Reservation Fee. I am curious as to how easy the financing is. This will be my first "new" car.

...if your credit did not go down the tubes with this economy then you will do OK....plan in going in early 'cause is kind of a lengthy process if you plan in reading ALL the papers that will be put in front of you....

I discovered that my car was in on 04/07/08. I picked up 04/10/08 During those 3 days Max actually fought with the bank to get me financing. This is my first NEW(and first financed) car also and I had 0 credit. Fortunately my husband has excellent credit! That was before the economy went totally down the crapper though, but I wish you the best of luck. I'm sure you'll have no problems!

If you have a good relationship with your financial institution, I'd go through them. My credit union gave me a lot better deal than sci on financing. Also makes the whole process a lot easier. 15 minutes at the bank to sign paperwork, and about 10 minutes at sci. Hand them the check, and the car is yours. Then you get a 45 minute tour of the car. Easiest car buying experience I've ever had. I'll never finance through a dealer again.

Anyone know how good Forum is with financing? I know sometimes they bring cars to the branch and you can get some sort of special financing or discount.
