Just got my letter from "national". Says call my dealer to get flashed. Nothing about my battery though. Think I'll wait a while. Would be nice to be able to engage the "manual" mode from the paddles. But my shifting, after 12K miles, is probably as smooth as one might expect. So unless Walter wants to have a Saturday Flash Day, I'll be reluctant to take time off work to go in for the computer upgrade during the week.
The battery is another issue, which I may or may not be part of. As long as I don't leave the dome light on, I have no battery problems. Seems the regulator or the alternator goes wonky sometimes. Perhaps that's the symptom... my lights fade or flicker occasionally, like the electrical system is momentarily over taxed. Never gone completely dark, so I don't worry about it too much. But my headlights do fade on occasion. Alternator catching up? Regulator lagging? Battery insufficient for the load? Hmmmm....
Anyone else in Illiana get their 2.0 letter?
