Smart goes to the 1/4 mile

The slowest car all day certainly got a lot of attention, several people where making wagers on how fast it would be before my first run, a couple of guys came up to the line and asked me how much the car weights, HP, etc.
I'm mainly interested to see if the 2.0 upgrade will make any difference so Tuesday runs where just a baseline.
60' 2.674
330' 8.031
1/8 12.552
mph 54.39
1000' 16.405
1/4 19.636
mph 68.12
Temp. 72 F
Best run was my first, after 8 runs it seems just running on Auto was the way to go a little faster.
Car set up: 08 Passion, heated seats, alarm, gauges. Full gas tank of 93, rubber floor mats, cargo divider, tire emergency kit, rear storage compartment holds quart of oil, tire plug kit, aluminum jack, lug wrench and moving mat. Stock wheels and tires at 35psi front, 40psi rear. Car 100% stock.

Great post! I'm curious to see if the 2.0 update makes a significant difference in acceleration, or if it mainly just "feels" better. Thanks for the info.

I think most likely the 2.0 will only help with street friendliness under part throttle shift conditions, but who knows, maybe it also shifts quicker at peak RPM and that should help speed things up a little.
Thanks for the interest.

I'm planning another run this Tuesday at IRP or currently known as OReily's Raceway Park. Tuesday night street legals, open to any one with a safe car.
If your smart goes faster than 14 sec. 1/4 mile, you need to wear a helmet.
It costs $15 to run, not sure about spectators.
Crawfordsville road gates (main gate) open at 5:30 PM and it's open session until 9 PM.O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis: Race Divisions
Link for more info.

With times in the 19's I should be wearing what old ladies used to wear to cover their hair. I don't think those are called bandannas.
