Software Upgrade and new Battery.

I just got my Software upgrade with new manual and better Battery upgrade on my 08 passion.. No cost to me ..This is a very SMART way to say " Thanks for buying Smart.
This is a great improvement on transmission shifting in manual and auto mode.
I am very happy with the service at Smart center Indianapolis.

How did you find out about it?? Did Smart send you something? My battery has died once.....seems it would benefit from a better one....

Call your dealer, ask them if your car qualifies for any of the upgrades.

I just called my smart center in Milwalkee about my 10K service and asked about the upgrades. He asked If I had recieved my letter yet. Well since we have one of the last 08's Im sure I wount be the first to get the letter.
So I told him no, but I want to get it all done at once since Im making the trip up.
He looked up my updates. Reprogam, Battery, Label, Manual. He will do it when I come in in a week and 1/2.
So I ask, have you done any of these yet and NO he hasn't yet.
But since they were not one of the first smart centers open they may be a little behind the rest.

I have an appointment for next Friday, they said to make sure you bring in your owners manual as they want to get them off the streets I guess, must be a preceived liability issue.
