Studebaker Museum Meet 1/31/09

Quoted by Madame Sinner:

"Sorry for being MIA-a few personal problems arose.

Time: January 31, 2009 at 10am
Location: Corner Cup Cafe
Street: 600 Roosevelt Rd
City/Town: Walkerton, IN 46574

We will be getting together in Walkerton for breakfast/brunch at the Corner Cup Cafe. We will then go to the Studebaker Museum in South Bend after. We are trying to work a deal for either free entry or a group rate. This event is being organized by driven2succeed (Janet Carey) Please RSVP to either me or Janet.

***We have gotten approval from the Studebaker Museum to have the entry fee waved for our group! A big Thank You to Walter Grassi for that!***

As of right now we have 10 cars coming, anyone else is more than welcome to join us!

See ya all Saturday!

Don't forget the SIN website-we have events and updates posted there also!

SIN - smarties of Indiana "

Thought this might get more attention that being buried in the 'DDE' thread.

The trip to the Studebaker Museum sounds like fun. We were planning on some home remodeling this weekend, but I'll check with the wife and see what she thinks. I'll let you guys know on Friday 'what's up' with us, OK?

Hmm... only a 4 hour drive each way. I'm tempted. Would really like to see that museum. And the SIN gang, too! Put me down as a definite maybe.

We will welcome them with open arms, and maybe get a little more info on you as well. What kind of secrets are you hiding Dean?

Not going there.

My wife is 'into' museums and she suggested sometime this year to hit the Wright-Patterson Museum. That would be cool if we (Madame Sinner) could co-ordinate it with the Ohio smarties. THAT would be a pretty big group, I would think.

Also, since we didn't get to attend the Ropkey trip, maybe do another one there as well before the end of the season?

Still contemplating the Studebaker trip.....I REALLY want to do it, just the weather concerns us.

Big Panda:

Love the WPAFB idea but its in Ohio, do we really want to associate ourselves with that type of people? I am worried that if we go over there, they will steal the wheels off of our cars and put 'em up on blocks

No, that's Kentucky! Over here, we just take your car at gunpoint.

Anyway.... if you'd like to do the AF Museum thing let me know; great place to visit and I think we could get our own parking area. Dayton has an Aviation Heritage Trail with all of the other related sites so it could be a two day event if people wanted to see them all. Trust me, 2 or 3 hours is not enough time to go through the museum itself.

Jwright:

If we do something at WPAFB, we are so close to the best steaks in the world, of course we would have to, as a group, do the Buckhorn Tavern for the stuffed stripped steak.

IM IN LETS DO IT TODAY
