Shifter stuck

I was having the problem with the shifter not going into park and had an appt to take her into the dealership today for them to look at it. My boyfriend searched and found a few posts on the internet (I believe here or another smart site he scans) and saw how to lube the shifter. He told me he couldn't let me drive RT 3 hrs. and spend $100 deductible for extended warranty repair without first trying what he had read.

It took him less than 2 minutes to lube and I believe my BumbleBee is fixed....for now.

I am skeptical of self repair so we will see how long this holds. Nice to see that the dealer also "lubed" the shift mechanism.

Also, shifter was getting "stuck" at reverse when I would shift into Park. I would have to go back to drive and then to park again. They were able to duplicate the issue, and determined the shift mechanisms need lubed. It seems to move much smoother now. Hopefully it doesn't do it again.

Since I found out how easy it is to lube it, I do it about every 6 months, or at least check and make sure it isn't dry. I use white lithium grease, ans I'm not stingy with it. Great DIY here on SCOA if anyone needs to try it themselves.

...just dropped Indy smart at SCI for a check engine light ...a failed to go to reverse one time ...a fail to get going when stepping on the gas ...water in the third eye light and a check suspension issue 'cause it sounds like the front end will come from under the dash when the car hits a good size bump...we'll pick it up on Monday.

jetfuel...will report back with findings

Of course mine wasn't the switch or the resistor, but the motor itself. Hope it helps others out of warranty!
Maybe the dirty commutator contacts on the motor are causing the switch to fail instead of the switch causing the motor to fail.

Could be, I can you , I've been running 2 months since the repair I did, and the blower has performed flawlessly.
Only issue is an annoying rattle that has developed uder the passenger side dash. I'm sure I didn't tighten something correctly with all the disassembly I did, hoping to have time to look at it this weekend. Otherwise this rattle is going to drive me nuts!... and anybody that knows me, knows I don't have far to travel.

Garage
Yesterday when my windshield was frosted I tried to use some washer fluid on it and there was no spray action or washer pump noise. Today I checked the jug and it was at half. I thought it was odd that it didn't spray so I checked the sprayer again and it wouldn't spray. So I topped off the jug and tried spraying the front sprayer. I heard the pump running but no spray for a couple second then it built up some pressure and squirted then sprayed. I then tested the back sprayer which acted even weirder. It wouldnt spray but I heard the motor running and glance up front and my fronts were spraying. Then it seemed like pressure to to front died down as the back slowly began to spray. I am so confused about what happened. I get out to think about what just happened and suddenly I noticed something leaking from up under my rear bumper. It was coming from the rear driverside and the farthest up I could trace the fluid was from inside the rear driverside wheel well behind the wheel shield. I tried to smell the fluid to determine what it was but I dont really have a great sense of smell, so I asked my GF and our roommate to smell it. They said it smelled like it could be washer fluid. It was a large amount that came out, but once the sprayers were working properly it seemed like the leak actually stopped, but it had a long trip down to the bumper. I am wondering if I have some sort of internal leak inside the rear pillar or something. Anyone had something like this or know how the washers are plumbed?
