AM Radio

I listen to talk radio quite frequently and therefore have the AM selected on my PASSION radio. The sound is distorted however and I fear that the dealer will simply say that it's within specs and all is well. FM is fine.
ON a lesser note...the push buttons do not display which station has been selected, like FM1, FM2, etc. It's all guess work as to which button was used last to move to the next selection. Any thoughts on this subject from any one out there?

Hi HGB I assume you have an new car with us specs. The info you are looking for is on the display of the radio rather than the button itself showing you your selection. Hope that helps karl

Hi Karl,
The car is 3 weeks old and US specs.
My display shows only the station frequency. Not which button selected it though. This is on AM & FM.
How is your AM ? Mine sounds like an analog radio tuned off center.

All frequencies are on the money and all buttons have been set.
I just switched cars and have the Fortwo at work.
I will tell you exactly what my display shows when I look at it tomorrow.

Thanks for your suggestion,

Hans

My AM is also distorted slightly...Radio 10. Upper left of display says AM1-P1 which is the selection for button one. The middle of the display shows the frequency and the lower right says CD when one is in the radio.

in my area there are many stations and I believe the weakers stations sound clearer. Which makes me suspect that there might be an overload to the amplified antenna. At this point I am guessing.
As for AM-P1, I don't have that feature on my Model 9 radio, just frequency display along with the infinity (stereo) indicator. and the possible CD when inserted.
