Could be slow going for a bit. Problem 1 would be the slow rate of smarts coming into the US. Problem 2 would be that even though they are arriving many owners don't belong to forums of any sort. Then factor in how many have a GPS where they could use it for geocaching. I think it's a great idea but it would probably be real slow to begin in some area's. Folks in like CA or NY/NJ with LOTS of dealerships and lots of smarts coming in and lots of folks here on the forums could probably have a ball!

I signed up on the geocaching website in Sept. 2003, and bought one of the earliest Gamin eTrex models to use for geocaching, but I was disappointed in the GPS's sensitivity. It often lost the signal in the woods...... just the place where you NEED the signal for geocaching. So........ we ended up only finding a few caches, and then just quit. Now, I have a Garmin Nuvi that's really sensitive, and it has the capability for entering LAT/LONG info, plus changing mode of transport to "pedestrian" and "off-road", so I think it'll make a great tool for getting back into the geocaching this spring & summer.
