A Fun Evening (Gaming)

Josh and I had decided that we wanted to go eat out. But we decided to putz around first. We drove all the way over to the MicroCenter. One of these days, I plan to build a better gaming system.

Anyway... Back to the subject at hand...

It feels like the longer you drive the Smart, the more comfortable it feels. Like you're sinking into the seats.

I wound up taking the long way there. We went up to Belt Line and headed east. When we hit Coit, I forgot that we needed to head south. So instead, I wound up taking us a bit north of where we needed to be. We made a U-turn in the Wal-mart Neighborhood Grocery over on Coit and (I think) Round Rock. You may not believe this, but I didn't intentionally forget. It's been a looong time since I've been anywhere near Coit.

On our way east on Spring Valley, Josh and I discussed possible restaurants. Lo and behold, the IHOP that had been burned down was now in business again. So, after we got done checking out hardware at the MicroCenter, we stopped in there.

You'd better believe that someone in the restaurant was checking out Red Zippy when we pulled up. And when we left, I made one of those incredibly tight U-turns in the parking lot and went out the entrance (which was right behind us).

Ahh, I miss my Microcenter. I haven't been there in months. Even though I love the store I still end up ordering my stuff on Newegg for my gaming rig.

What games do you play?

Depends. I was playing World of Warcrack for a while there. But my current system is a chug-beast. Way too much lag.

I'd been playing "Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness" for the Nintendo DS. Darn roommate. He got me hooked on the Harvest Moon series years ago. Now I can't stop collecting Harvest Moon games.

I just tend to go in phases. We'll be heading to a Game Xchange on Saturday. It's located in Highland Village, TX. The one thing Josh loves about Game Xchange is that he can find the really OLD games there. You know, Super NES cartridges and the like.

Old games... New games... Josh doesn't care, so long as it's the kind of game he wants.

And I enjoy the Game Xchange, because you can find the game guides marked down. Sometimes they have some spiffy anime items too, like Cloud's ring from FF 7. Now there's something that makes my roommate drool...

I'd like to one day get a Wii and/or a PS3. But for now, I'm content with what we have. And we definitely don't have a shortage of fun.

Now if I teach Josh how to drive, I wonder if we'll be fighting over the steering wheel? "But I don't WANT to be the passenger today! Whine! Whine! I'm a human being, not a sack of potatoes!" (I think you can tell that the Smart has become yet another addition to our fun factor.)

Okay, so no FPS like UT and Battlefield. You need to get away from WOW.

No, I don't really do FPS games myself. And my roommate gets motion sick playing them. But if you want a fan of FPS games, talk to PsychoBeth. She loves the beans out of those.
