Hydro 4000

Just saw an artical on our local news (WNDU) about this product. They put it on one of the news trucks that was getting just over 9 mpg. result with the Hydro 4000 23 mpg. Sounds like a decent investment for our 03 Monte Carlo as long as it's not apt to do harm. Any one know how safe this may be?

ever wonder why

when you spray water on a fire it puts it out. Water is oxegen and hydrogen both very flammable. why we will run out of clean water before we run out of oil.

I do a search for hydro 4000 sounds really good tax breaks and all why hasn't somebody done this already you may ask.... still following... water likes to stay that way it changes state easy enough but remains water (ice cube cloud still water H2O). It takes energy to seperate the H from the O where is it coming from. Commercial hydrogen comes from natural gas not water. this help clarify? karl

Karl,
Mind you I'm not discounting your information, I really don't know much about alternate fuels, not even sure if this product falls into that catagory. But I'm not sure we're looking at the same item. The one I've found information on, albiet limited, runs off of according to one artical "distilled water and baking soda" and the other states "The Hydro 4000 can be fitted to any vehicle for a very reasonable $1,200 (£600) and runs purely on water." Not sure what might be true now, Commercial hydrogen, water or water/baking soda. Any one eles have information to add or know anything about this product

Sounds like the "secret carburetor that runs on water, suppressed by oil and car companies" urban legend that pops up every few years.

If there was a safe, easy way, to run a internal combustion car or truck by adding water or Hydrogen from water...every manufacturer would have it already installed... They ALL pay millions each year in penalties for the part of their fleets that do not meet fuel effeciency standards....

In fact you can apply this logic to each and every fuel magnet type hyped up HP or MPG improvment product on the market..

it does sound bogus but did the actual local news install and use it and report that it worked?

Curtis, Thanks for noticing that part of my original post. Yes our local news station actually had this installed on their vehical showed the 'treadmill ' test before and after install. Mileage before just over 9 mpg after 23 mpg. This is not a station that covers unfounded stories, as a matter of fact they often try products in order to see if they stand up to the manufactures claims, many don't, this one did or so it appears. I'll see if I can find a link.
