1. What is unique about the Kenwood system? Anybody got model numbers?
2. Is it bigger than the average heretofore systems installed on smarts? Screen seems to fill the sound system space better?
3. Pricing?

Have to wait for the 2010 models to show up on the smart USA configurator; no Kenwoods available now.

Kenwood developed a unique system for smart based on input from smart fortwo owners. The entertainment system features Garmin navigation software and NAVTEQ mapping technology, as well as built-in Bluetooth capabilities.

The entertainment system allows owners to enjoy better sound with its 3-way Performance Series speakers. It is satellite and HD Radio ready, and offers the ability to operate the iPod®, iPhone® or iTouch® through the system’s 6.1” front panel touchscreen.

Thanks for the link to that thread. From the Kenwood press release quoted here in that thread, on the press release Kenwood does not claim a unique system for smart based on input from smart fortwo owners.

Instead, these might be plain-vanilla DNX5140 or DNX6140 nav/audio units.

Perhaps when smart refers to a unique system they mean unique because there is a «a pre-negotiated, installed price that is identical across the country»?

That is the only «unique» feature I was able to identify.
