I'm interested if it's $269 shipped.

My big problem with the Kiwi is that it seems to lack a lot of the tech data the SGII has on the main screen - at least it seems advertised that way. I love checking my instant mile, air intake temp, rpms, and water temp all at the same time but still wouldn't mind trying the Kiwi. Another thing I'd love for it to have is an input on the back but I understand to keep it thin it needs it on the side.

Sign me up IF it's $269 shipped though - SOLD!

We'll be offering forum goers 10% off for the Kiwi and they are limited because of demand. So they say at Kiwi headquarters... Should get the price around $269 for you guys and gals. We'll be getting 10-20 units in the next coming weeks. Any interest? We do. Just didnt like the generic look of the Scanguage and found this to be a very nice looking unit with many options.

Have a look at www.plxkiwi.com

Thanks,
Jeff

Uh, where did you get the idea that it doesn't show those metrics?

Kiwi

Received the unit and love it. However the mpg is wrong and off. plxdevices asked me to return it because the early released units did not allow for extensive calibration adjustments. What I noticed is that the unit does not read air flow from the obdii and does not calculate the correct mpg because of it. plx told me there is an adjustment that can be made to correctly calibrate it. For some reason my unit which shipped out in the first batch needs to be corrected.

I tried it in a few other cars and it worked extremely well and cant wait to get it back. I'll post again when I can confirm that the unit works as we expect.

I'll let ya all know what happens next as I'm the guinea pig for the Smarts.

Cool, thanks for the update. I'll have to make a decision soon which to get plus I have a few questions about what screens are available and if they are programmable.

I wish I had known about this kind of device when I was lugging around in 20- mpg cars and truck then I would see a quicker payback, but with the Smart it is not such a big deal.
