hoo-ray its here!

Got a call from smart center easton in col's last week that my car is here. Went to test drive it saturday- nice! It was so cool to walk into their showroom & see 'my' car on the floor with the 'sold' tag. I was wondering if would be pathetic & underpowered but took it up a freeway ramp and was 55 at the top of the ramp without trouble and was cruising at 70, even with AC on! My significant other was impressed at the comfort & space inside. She asked if they were selling many and the sales guy said they are sold out for 1 1/2 yrs- glad I put my $100 down when gas was only 3.25/gal.... Rapidly got used to shifting up & down with my thumb. I will be taking delivery in a week or so once I get finaces together. My 82 yr old dad felt it reminded him of his '60 beetle- I guess small cars are a genetic trait. Now need to find a source for snow tires & wheels before winter. What about a spare tire carrier too?

Hi Roscoe! Glad your car finally arrived; hope to see you at Easton on July 12th. Post some photos when you can. I'm also searching for some steel wheels before winter so keep in touch.
