i got an email from Bescos saying that the Cab was still available. didn't call them. i had forgotten that they post the VIN on 'autotrader.com' so i noted it for future reference.

like i said, if they get another one, i'll get that VIN too and take them both to smart center of indianapolis to see if someone there can find out where they came from. i know Max at our dealership is really upset with 'reservation holders' getting the cars for resale purposes only. can't say i blame him. these people are getting anywhere from $2-6K OVER Sticker while the dealer is locked in on the List Price (plus all the other 'crap' we've already beaten the dead horse with, ok?)

btw, i responded to this post a couple days ago, but with the site being down and 'remodeled', it must have gotten lost......

I'm glad the VIN is posted online. I think I was starting to look suspicious to them when I strolled over and wrote it down. Of course, no aging used care salesman ever suspect the happy 23 year old female. haha!
Well, I've got the VIN too. I keep waiting for them to sell that one and get a new smart in it's place. Maybe between our combined complaining we can nail Bescos.

The two cars this dealership has had are from a dealer in California. So a Smart dealer is selling orphans to this guy directly. The two VINS come back to being assigned to this dealer in Smart's database.

REALLY? interesting.....do you have the 'other' VIN? do you know what dealer in CA? and how do you know this?

that info might just fall into the hands of someone with smart and since another member posted on another thread that should a smart center sell a car to a 'known dealer/wholesaler/broker', there could be repercussions.

i hate to see 'orphans' being sold to others that are merely in it for the $$, which is depriving those of us who really want one for our personal use.

If you have the number of the red one could you post it on the forums? With both of those numbers I think a call to smartusa is in order.
