Met 2009 grey-grey passion coupe owner tonight at Starbucks. Roof panel so crazed you couldn't see through it. Just out of shop to have amazingly-priced platinum window washer pump replaced. We swapped horror stories about our wonderful dealer service. Her troubles were getting them to return phone calls. Great time had by all...

Amazing how you find these people. I personally know dozens of smart owners in my local area and they don't have even half the problems you've had. Now for you to run into someone who's had just as many.....you should have rushed out to buy a lottery ticket afterwards so you can use the money to get a car you can be happy with (if such a car were to exist).
One thing I have learned from my kooky wife, "negativity begets negativity". Sounds nuts but I have found it to be true so in the last several years I've tried to become a glass half full guy. Good things started happening. I used to be so negative people hated to be around me because of it. Now they just hate to be around me because I'm weird. . Find a positive twist somehow.

OK guys -- we all know there are a serious number of crazed roofs out there, despite Larry being a Negative Nancy. And, As far as we know there is no fix.
Crazed roof. Larry is right on. I'm on my 2nd roof factory and replacement. My replacement is badly crazed. On my old smart I sold I had a replacement roof on it too. My dad's '08 is starting to craze, he keeps his car in the shade covered.
Despite Larry's negativity I can say EVERY Passion coupe I have looked at around here does have a crazed roof. Doesn't make the car a piece of junk. It is a problem. Once again, my wife likes the crazing, glass half full I guess. . She says it's pretty.

I'm just starting to see a few "sparkles" on the leading edge of my 2008. It's very faint and sparse, but if the sun hits it just right and you tilt your head just right you can barely see a few sparkles.
