Lunch at Sonic and a lap around the Lowe's Motor Speedway

Our Smart Carolinas club will be having our monthly meet at the Sonic Drive In on Hwy 49 Harrisburg NC June 13th at 11:30. After lunch we will head to the Lowe's Motor Speedway for a parade lap around the track. There is no cost to do this. This will be done at a safe speed.

All are welcome to attend just go to smart CARolinas to register.

Hope to have a large turn out for our event.

Can't wait! do you know if we are going to be able to get photos of us on the track? I am trying to figure out a video camera dashmount for this

I have a friend that is going to meet us there and take photos of all of us on the track.

WOW....that is SOOOOOO cool! Like our "Lap the Track" at the Brickyard 10 days ago.

Is there some other event planned at LMS or will it be 'smarts only' in attendance?

If at all possible, try and set up a photo op of you guys crossing the Start/Finish Line, two abreast, like the start of a NASCAR event. THAT would be an awesome sight. We tried to pull that off at IMS, but they would only allow us to be 'single file' and we were so spread out on the track we couldn't have gotten caught up to get close enough anyway.

This will be for our smart club only (for this lap - I am given to understand that there are others that will come before and after us, but I could be wrong)

I have rigged up a mount that I can put on the outside of my car - I will video the whole thing, and post it (after I reduce the size, of course)

I also have a camera man to shoot still photos of our group. He does not have a Smart Car but I invited him to come and take as many photos of all that he can.

I also have the local police there to keep us safe by blocking traffic at the Sonic when we leave so we can all stay together. How about that for our tax dollars at work.

We have 26 signed up to come but I hope more will either sign up or if they find the time just show up and make this the largest meet ever.
