Making it official - anyone interested? (ed. a club)

We can set up an "official" club - our own section, directory, etc. here on the SCOA site. If enough are interested, I'll get us set up. I would like to get some input on names, etc.
As a starting point:

Name (my suggestion): smart CARolinas

Aimed at smart car owners and friends centered around Charlotte.

Anyone interested? Seems like we already have the foundation, with the breakfast club meetings and all...

I'm for it. Communication is really key and without the group email Ken sent we may not have had the turnout we needed. I'm willing to do some placards to keep in my car to let other smart car owners I see know about us.

I did set up an email on Yahoo and sent an email out to everyone so group emails can be sent out (there is a limit on SCOA links for sending out messages on the site) and I set up a photo area on dropshots so the pics can separated into albums/events.

The BMW car club does such a great job on the local level. Local monthly news letter, dinner meetings, and rally events. No reason why there shouldn't be something similar for Smart. Count me in!!!

Let's do it. The Carolinas Miata Club Carolinas Miata Club - Charlotte, North Carolina is extremely organized and has q very active membership. See their web page for the types of events they held this past year. We have been members for a number of years and would be happy to share what they have done.

I Go To Myrtle Beach every year for the Miata's at myrtle beach show/get together they have. The Miata crowd is very organized, I get to do there dent's they get. No reason the Smarties can't get something going, and I would have to work! (Well I might if someone get's a light one in the "Cell"
