Monday is a great time to go upstate, very little traffic . Went North on I 77, Off At Troutman Exit, North on Route 115, to Route 421 north to Wilkesboro, All Back roads, Then north 421 to the Blue Ridge Hwy. Great paddel shifting drive. Went into Boone, Then Blowing Rock. Did pass one Yellow Smart in Boone on Deerfield road! We both waved!! This would also make a good day trip!!!

We are heading up to the Biltmore Estate this weekend and we are taking our SMART. Did you have any trouble with your car up there at all?
I've seen countless of smarts up in the Swiss Alps. The Biltmore, and even Mt. Mitchell shouldn't be an issue (electronic ignition will adjust altitude....)!
Enjoy a beautiful trip.
Great trip, to a beautiful place!! You will have NO problem in the mountains. Have fun, take the extra tour of the house, and the wine tasting. Check at entrance for any special tours, they are free!!!
