My parents had a '91 Southwind '37 and it was a handful to drive. Overheated like crazy too when they came to visit me in Texas. I spent their entire vacation with me replacing the
entire cooling system (fan, fan clutch, radiator, hoses, coolant etc.), but that's just the nature of the beast in mid-August Texas. It's hot so it was bound to test the cooling system.
Driving it around tractor trailers was downright scary, I've got a CDL and mroe than enough miles behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler but it scared me. Yours looks newer so it will most likely be a "P-32?" chassis that has much better road manners from what I've heard. My parents have since upgraded to a Ford chassis, later model V-10. I love driving that - very nice.
How's the A/C work in it? Looks like a 35'? Think twice about painting that exterior black. Looks cool but most RV's are white for a reason - that one tiny little 13,500 sitting on the roof. Sounds like you got big plans. I'd love to get another RV once again but I don't see it happening anymore. Who knows. Either way, my parents have one that never gets used and its there for my pleasure if I want it I suppose..hate to borrow things but they're old

(had to drive over to their house a few minutes ago just to show them how to work the DVD player so they can watch a movie).
