Took Delivery of our new blue/silver passion Saturday, :woohoo , I haven't had this much fun since my "57 chevy hot rod.
There were two others from DesMoines picking up their smarts also, one person is on SCOA, Smartical, got his blue/silver passion.
The ride back on I 80 was trickey with 30 MPH cross winds. You could feel it
squirme but it was manageable. I followed my wife with her blazer and she said it was blowing around also. We also had an 18 wheeler that stayed up with us and when we pulled over at a rest area, he also pulled in. He ran over to us and said "thats a cute little car. What is it"? Well, we educated him.
Hope to see some of you around the Drake and Beaverdale neighborhood.
Larry

I got a call in December from T.J. in la Vista saying that my car would be on the lot some time around the end of January. Two days ago I got another call from him saying it would be the end of February. Yesterday I got an email telling me the first week of March. Oh well, by the time I actually get it winter will mostly be over, and it will be a great way to bring in the spring season. I hope.
Jimbo, you have been waiting a long time. It was 11 months back in June, now its 18 mo.
Did you get a vin # from T.J. so you could track it. When did u configure? It was 3mo. from when I configured Aug.25, but with the bad weather I didn't pick up until Dec. 13.
Our smart in a month old and we're having a ball driving it.
Hang in there, its worth it.

Hi Larry, Thanks. I didn't get a VIN # from T.J. But I'll send him an email this week or call him next week to see if he has one. He told me that their allocation was being pushed back for some reason, who knows? I know it will be worth it. Eventually... anyway, as long as the old Dodge pickup still runs and the cab still heats through this cold weather I can still go where I want to go---in the end, it's just a car(Riiiiight.)
OK! I got the call I've been waiting for...my car has been in LaVista since last Tuesday, but I've been covered up at work six days a week and unable to go. But if everything works out it looks like I'll get to pick the car up this Saturday!
