It's really not the snow as much as the wind. Coming in this morning was exciting with those 30 mph cross winds with snow. Nice! Still got to where I needed to go. Love that traction control.

No, still the stock contis. I do have a set of rears on the front, though. Drove with stocks last year and I think that there is a big improvement with traction and stopping. I'll probably get snows before next winter. LaVista had the new conti snows TS800(?). I've read some really good reviews about them.

Smartah, did you use the rear rims on the front or mount the 175's on the small front rims? I will check out the new conti snows at LaVista next tuseday or wednesday as my blue passion has arrived and will be picking it up next week.:woohoo I hope the weather holds off so we can get home in one piece.

I got the Blizzak's on my Smart. (On the stock Wheels) I got 145's in the front and the 175's in the back. Also I just did it at a local tire shop.

Jeff, you got Blizzak's at the dealer in Ames? Who? I tried here in DM and Firestone said they couldn't get the LM-18's in 175/55R15.

I got an extra set of wheels and tires and sensors. Put the rear wheels and tires on the front. So right now I have four spares.

No sorry, Buzz, I went to a place in MN. Discount Tire Co. But I'm sure there is a place here in Ames that carries Bridgestone tires.

Smart owner in Iowa

Hello from Cedar Rapids,
We now have 2 Smarts, placed reservation in June of 2007, could not wait for it to arrive so bought a new 2008 Yellow Passion on ebay. Finally November 2008 the Passion we ordered arrived at the Lake Bluff, IL dealer. Now we have a 08 Yellow and 09 Silver Smart. We have put 10,000 miles on the yellow Passion since April of 2008. No problems at all, change my own oil, use Mobil 1 0 - 40. I am going to add cruise to both. If you see a Yellow Passion with University of Iowa plate "R SMART", that be us!
