Is there any large interest in having a Rally this late Spring (April) I was thinking along the lines of a gathering in Des Moines. I don't really know of all of the activities, but we could cruise through the downtown district and grab lunch at some restaurant.
Count me in. I'm new to this forum, having just picked up my red/black fortwo coupe Thursday (Jan 22, 2009) in La Vista after waiting 20 months (reserved May 07). I live in Ames so DSM works for me. Also, how do I join the Iowa Chapter on this forum, or is that unnecessary?
Jeff, I like it, there is the town square in Polk City that we all could meet at, lot of parking, also a good watering hole across from the square. We could do lunch there and then run down to DM., maybe Court Ave.
Alright, cool. I was thinking either we take the freeway or take the road closer to the lake. I need to figure out if its scenic or not to make it worth it. Regardless in the spring it wont be, unless there are wildflowers or Lilac's by it. I'll try to check it out. But that's the plan. Meet, Eat and Drive around DSM for a bit. I won't be able to get to much fancy as I alot of my energy into the Midwest rally which I hope you all will be a part of.
