I went for my 10,000 mile oil change today, I was shocked to find out how much it was!!
I paid $74 to have that done...

I had thought that it was a service thing that they took care of the first time. (My last new car had free oil changes for the first year, so I assumed the same would happen this time.) Boy, howdy, was I wrong!

The oil itself totalled $41 or nearly $11 per quart! When I got to thinking about it though, when you only change the oil every 10,000 miles, it sort of makes up for the exorbinant sounding total, as you don't have to repeatedly go to the shop and have the oil changed every 3 to 5 thousand miles. After thinking about that for nearly the whole day,

I also realized the price in relationship to the previous thought was darn cheap.
Anyhow, I just wanted to give y'all a heads up on the price so we wouldn't have to either scrape you off the ceiling, nor off of the ground. (LOL)
So, remember your checkbook!!
