Folks, lets face it, life is about choices and options and you have a right to exercise yours.
I tend to side with jwright and had my service done at the Smartcenter for a little over $100. The people at the center are great to work with, the tech is both qualified and thourough and the service was cheap compared to my Mini Cooper which after the period of free services was $309 for an annual oil change and system check.
If my dealership wasn't friendly and if my tech wasn't great I would choose another option.
With any auto company there are wide variances in tech expertice, wide variances in service committment, and wide variances in service costs; that is not a smart issue, it's an industry issue.
You can change your own or you can take it to quick lube it's all up to you.
I have no problem with people making an issue of poor service or outrageous pricing by any single dealer of any kind but don't think it's quite fair or reasonable to paint all with the same brush.
These issues are real and I'm sorry for those that are dissapointed but again I think it's an industry and an individual dealership issue not an issue for the Brand or for all dealers.
Just My Opinion!
